About Samantha


Samantha is a senior Speech Pathologist and has been practising for 18 years graduating with a Bachelor of Speech Pathology at LaTrobe University in 2004.   

She has worked at the Melbourne Voice Analysis Centre as a voice therapist and worked in London (2008/2009), as a voice therapist with  leading voice teams across 3 major London hospitals where she assisted with Video-stroboscopic assessment and analysis with ENT (Laryngologist) Tom Harris and managed a busy caseload of patients in Voice and Dysphagia with Sara and Dinah Harris. 

Samantha has extensive experience in adult and paediatric voice disorders, and is UK trained in laryngeal manipulation and massage with renowned Osteopath Jacob Liebermann. She also completed a course in Vocal Unloading for Speech Pathologists with Annie Strauch at Performance Medicine Australia in 2019.

Samantha has presented at various voice conferences over the years on a variety of topics including Transgender voice, Vocal Health for singers and teachers, and will soon be publishing her recent study on Covid 19 and its effect on Singer's Voices with Dr. Veronica Stewart.

Samantha is a practising member of Speech Pathology Australia, and is also a member of ANATS, LSA, and she is currently on the Board for The Australian Voice Association. 

 

Samantha works as an Acute Speech Pathologist at Healthscope (Knox Private

Hospital), where she works as a Senior clinician specialising in Dysphagia Assessment and Management, including Videofluoroscopic assessments.

Samantha is also a voice teacher with over 25 years of experience in Classical and Music Theatre styles, and she is very passionate about developing her student's voices, vocal technique, breath management, performance skills, and knowledge and application of vocal health.
